Probably one of the most challenging home tasks, folding your fitted sheet is one of those things that we don’t want to face but must eventually. Believe it or not, it doesn’t have to be such a chore! There are a lot of different techniques people use to successfully complete this daunting task. Let’s go over step by step what we believe to be the easiest way to fold those pesky fitted sheets. Take a look at the video below for a visual representation.
Lay the fitted sheet face down longways making sure the elasticized pockets are facing upwards towards you.
Flatten and smooth out the sheet as best you can so all corners are flat and the elastic edges are facing toward the center of the sheet.
Take each corner on the side closest to you by inverting the pockets inside out so your hands are facing away from you.
Scoop up the opposite two corners by sliding your hands (still holding the two pockets inside out) underneath the elastic layer so you are holding both sets of pockets invertedly.
Lay the sheet down flat the exact way you have it in your hand so it looks like half of a fitted sheet. Neaten.
Fold each symmetrical end inwards once and then again. Fold upwards from the bottom to your desired size and store.
