Caring for Your Colored Linens

Caring for different colored sheets requires attention to detail and specific care instructions to ensure that they remain vibrant and maintain their quality over time. While the dye in our sheets does not run, it is important to take into consideration a few tips for washing your bedding. Separate Colors

It's important to separate your colored sheets from white and light-colored linens during the washing. Washing colored sheets with like colors helps preserve their vibrancy. While we recommend washing only one set at a time to keep your washer well balanced, if you do choose to wash multiple of our linens together, washing White, Ivory, Tan, and Linen is perfectly acceptable. 

Wash Linens Separately from Clothing

Because your clothing may contain dyes that can run onto your sheets, it’s best to leave your clothes out of the wash when doing your sheets. This will help to prevent any dye transfer from your clothing items, especially if the clothing is new. Once again, this also helps to avoid overloading your washing machine.

Avoid Bleach & Other Harsh Chemicals

Bleach is notorious for causing color fading and discoloration. Avoid using chlorine bleach or any harsh bleaching agents on your colored sheets, especially bolder colors like Canyon, Midnight, and Charcoal. If your sheets require stain removal, spot-treat the area with warm water and a small amount of detergent. Let it soak for 15 to 30 minutes before gently rubbing the stain out.

Store Properly

When not in use, store your sheets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause color fading and deterioration of the fabric.
