How Are Egyptian Cotton Towels Made?

Towels are created by weaving together certain materials with a warp and weft. This refers to the vertical and horizontal threads that get woven together. Additionally, there are threads looped over top to create that plush surface we are familiar with. These loops are referred to as a pile and can be used on one or both sides of the towel in various sizes. All of these factors are what determine a towels comfort level, resilience, and quality.

What separates Pure Parima’s Egyptian cotton towels from the rest is the fact that our towels feature true Egyptian cotton on both the warp and the weft creating a towel that only consists of Egyptian cotton. Unfortunately, most retailers use regular cotton in place of one of the sets of threads resulting in a towel that is only partially Egyptian cotton. While this still gets referred to as 100% Egyptian cotton, in reality it is not completely Egyptian cotton. The handfeel, quality and absorbency are all affected by this process. Egyptian cotton towels that are not made with complete Egyptian cotton may be less absorbent, durable, and soft. All of our towels are made using Egyptian cotton in both the warp and weft for the highest quality fabric.
