Shh…this is our secret ironing hack that is sure to give you neatly pressed and wrinkle-free linens!
Step 1: Lay out your wrinkled sheets.
Use an ironing board or other safe surface that will not be damaged by direct heat to lay your linens. Smooth them out as best as you can.
Step 2: Fill up a spray bottle with water.
Grab any spray bottle and fill it with room-temperature water. Make sure it’s on the mist or fine spray setting.
Step 3: Heat up your iron.
Be sure your iron is set to the cotton setting for gentle cotton linens, like Egyptian cotton sheets, and add water to the iron if you plan to use the steam setting.
Step 4: Gently spray your sheets with water as you iron.
Each time you glide your iron across the sheets, spray a small amount of water first to dampen the wrinkles. This helps the heat from the iron to push them out.
Step 5: Use the steam setting to help get out the tougher wrinkles.
In addition to spraying the water, you can use the steam from your iron to help remove the more stubborn creases.
